Usually the battery life is about 10-15 months for usual use if you install brand alkaline batteries. When the voltage is below 4.8V,it will indicate you lower voltage and need to change new batteries.

Can be with a lockable door at the top side of key storage box.It is easy and convenient for users to put keys into the cabinet without unlock the door.(this is for option)
